THE CENTER:
Mission Statement: THE CENTER WILL provide a voice and visibility to the un-served and under-served LGBT community, their supporters and families in Central Iowa. To work with progressive, supportive and allied groups to strengthen all of our work.
Vission Statement: LIVES of LGBT people and those who are close to them will be improved by support and education. Issues beyond sexual identity and circumstances will be addressed: health, poverty, race and ethnicity, for example. The CENTER will take a "Big Picture" approach to its support of these communities and work to be a vital and appreciated force in the larger community.

The CENTER needs the skills and talents of all the people in Central Iowa. Ways you can participate:
- Come volunteer so The CENTER can be open later or earlier.
- Teach a class, help someone with their homework.
- Come and hang out, play a game of pool.
